How Our Nonprofit Organization Works
SCEJTC qualified teachers and volunteers are available to provide instruction in the skills trade job market, job readiness and certification. SCEJTC is based on faith and the belief that everyone deserves a second chance. The organization will place focus on its life skill development through mentorship programs for leading a productive and prosperous life, beginning with a solid foundation. The organization support provided to each student will encourage them to tap into undeveloped skills, increase their capabilities and aid them in making life changes, all of which will promote them to be come successful.

Steven Jones, a Washington native. Steve graduated from a trade school, completing a program in HVAC & Air Condition. Second Chance Education & Job Training Center a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization was established in 2008, as an effort to provide life skills and job training to young adults in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Initially, SCEJTC was established as a way to "PAY IT FORWARD" for the opportunities that Steven acquired as a youth. "PAY IT FORWARD" by passing on the knowledge to the community and youth to encourage them to think positive, "positive thinking promotes position actions which promotes positive rewards." Everyone, no matter the demographics, religious beliefs, ethnicity, sexual orientation, deserves a second chance at a prosperous and purposed filled life, and those that attend SCEJTC will be provided the tools to do so.

SCEJTC is a voice for those who have none and a habor for adults who need to fine positive outlets in life other than negative involvements.
SCEJTC will do this by providing a cultural, creative and intellectual environment in order to challenge successful achievement.
